Wikipedia describes Botticelli’s Birth of Venus thus:

Whatever inspired the artist, there are clear similarities to Ovid's Metamorphoses and Fasti, as well as to Poliziano's Verses.

The classical goddess Venus emerges from the water on a shell, blown towards shore by the Zephyrs, symbols of spiritual passions. She is joined by one of the Horae, goddesses of the seasons, who hands her a flowered cloak.

The effect is distinctly pagan, considering it was made at a time and place when most artworks depicted Roman Catholic themes. It is somewhat surprising that this canvas escaped the flames of Savonarola's bonfires, where a number of Botticelli's other alleged pagan influenced works perished. Botticelli was very close to Lorenzo de' Medici. Because of their friendship and Lorenzo's power, this work was spared from Savonarola's fires and the disapproval of the church.

They have this to say of Picasso’s Demoiselles:

And what about Tracey Emin’s Bed?

My Bed is a work by the British artist Tracey Emin. It was exhibited at the Tate Gallery in 1999 as one of the shortlisted works for the Turner Prize. It consisted of her bed with bedroom objects in an abject state, and gained much media attention. Although it did not win the prize, its notoriety has persisted.

The artwork generated considerable media furore, particularly over the fact that the bedsheets were stained with body secretions and the floor had items from the artist's room (such as condoms, a pair of knickers with menstrual period stains, other detritus, and functional, everyday objects, including a pair of slippers). The bed was presented as it had been when Emin had not got up from it for several days due to suicidal depression brought on by relationship difficulties.

Beauty is everywhere - even in Tracey Emin’s Bed - but what does this say about where The West is headed? Granted, most artists are a troubled mob (I should know) but from the above triad of artworks clearly Botticelli’s piece trumps both Picasso and Emin in terms of pure loftiness in spirituality. I'm only keeping the bare minimum of White Nationalism-related material on this blog, stuff that's intelligent and worthwhile following or worth referring to occasionally mainly because I think White Nationalism on the internet is, for the most part, one big holy cock up. And that's putting it mildly. Also, I don't want my NICE Jewish mates to think I'm a cunt. Prestige is not on my list of ambitions anyway, grew out of that one a long time ago. Who 'ere suffers from fear of embarrassment? Erm... fear of loss of SOCIAL STATUS ...eh? Not me-e. Well, not as what I used to, like, say, as an unsure-of-oneself and gawky, semi-bepimpled and unnecessarily self-conscious teenage kid.

My reply, "Much of the White Nationalism message on the internet is mushy, mixed up and self-contradictory garbage; also, there are too many Mister Big Deal Chiefs and Wannabee Führeren and not enough DOERS... which will only lead one to despair if you so much as enthusiastically kow-tow to the all the verbal diarrhoea... you'll help people out, even do business with some (watch out!) or worse - meet a "white nationalist maiden" or two... (beware and be prepared for hassles) - so I, Marwinsing, hereby sing The Kiss of Death to White Nationalism in my life - like RIGHT NOW!" Vamoose!

Last week we saw the Idiot British National Party in the form of one yob-slob called Nick Griffin (who appears to have an I.Q of slightly less than moronic) make complete and total utter fools of the White Nationalist Cause on The Neo-Bolshevik BBC's Question Time and we all cringed thinking what a bunch of holy assholes the BNP have become. I say fuck them and present ol' Nick and his stupid crew with my crusty, smelly old middle digit. This week, back here in South Africa, it's just been the usual black-on-white Death by Telly's, the farm murders, (consenting?) white women getting raped by black men, hijackings, robberies, home invasions, the usual coon-ANC-squawking and whatnot. Boring stuff, and I say boring because most of us who are white adults here have lived through hearing, seeing AND experiencing all this crap for most of our lives.

I live in a weird situation, where, as a (naturally!) pro-white person I am surrounded by a by-far majority of brainwashed white sheep, herd mentality and Tellytubby-types (both male and female) who are served upon by fairly decent black Zulu staff. And I have to live with this, for now, at least. And it's more or less the same throughout South Africa, and it's more or less the same throughout The Western World.

And it's true what they say that whites should do their own labour (I do, religiously, and have JUST ABOUT always done such) but these days, THE OPPOSITE HAS IN FACT HAPPENED AND IS ON THE INCREASE throughout the Western World in the form of Third World migrant labour - read PLANNED INVASION - co-ordinated by Traitorous White Elitists hell-bent on killing off the white race, White Communist Liberals/Conservatives (same thing) and White Neo-Bolshevik Bureaucrats, together with their mass-media, legal/paramilitary sheenies and muddified lapdogs.

I am beginning to hate Global Capitalism more and more each day and even more so, White Nationalism. Read the White Nationalist blogs, even the best of them, It's all just Internet Pomp and Ceremony, candy-coated with a bit of White Angst and followed by lots of dithering, yelling, condemning and pontificating with little else of substance to behold. Everywhere.

Better to remain a lone wolf. Because after you've sifted through the alphabet soup that White Nationalism has now become, you're left with little of substance, perhaps just a few globs of Maizena paste stuck to the bottom of your sieve. And hey! - lots and lots of permanently... brainwashed... white people. Blame the other? No - blame Active Measures.

AND A FINAL WARNING: never ever... help a fellow White Nationalist. EVER! They'll use you. Rather help ordinary whites. Like the poor, homeless, nameless bloke begging on the street. Because do you know what thanks you'll get for devoting your energies to helping White Nationalism out the bushes and onto the highway? You'll just get SHAFTED UP THE BACKSIDE. Ask me I know. But long live the white race - or, rather - those white remnants... who still have the guts to admit that they're WHITE. And who're prepared to stand up for - sensibly, intelligently, and TACTFULLY - what it means to be white.

Crime Aware website launches in South Africa

Now this is a seductive anti-SBG website. SBG = Sophisticated Black Gentleman - or BLACK CRIMINAL - in Saffer-sarcastic parlance. Upload crime off-the-fly as site users (with free sign up) report unfortunate encounters with SBGs. Ah... coons. A useful feature is the zoom-in street map that pinpoints the location of the crime, nature of offence and other details, with virtual update. Well done Crime Aware.

You can use the website to report ANY crimes and incidents in your neighbourhood in order to let others know what is happening. You can also be instantly notified of any crime being committed around you.

The better the sense you have of the crime being committed near you, the more you can do to prevent it happening to you and your neighbours. Knowledge is power and forewared is forearmed.

Crime Aware is very easy to use and is a map based system that allows you to graphically view the incidents of crime in your neighbourhood.
